Today we celebrate the life of our loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend Amelia Amey "Melie".
Melie was born to the late Hillard and Louise Phelps on June 3,1947 she was the wife of the late Mr. Robert Amey Sr. of McDough Ga. One daughter Angela Lee Lowe preceded her in death.
Melie served as a faithful member of Mt. Sinai CME Church. Melie was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister David King Phelps, Ulee Jones, Jimmy Carter and Louise Petty.
Her toils on the path of life was Summond by our knowing and wise father on Friday, August 5,2016 at her daughter residence.
She leaves to cherish her legacy the following: one son Mr. Johnny Lee Lowe Jr. and one daughter Mrs. Schemeka Bailey both of Manchester, GA, and one very special stepson Robert Amey Jr. of Atlanta, GA. Two brothers ISSAC Phelps and Robert Jones both of Atlanta, GA. Two sisters Livia Ellington of Manchester, GA and Linda Phelps of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren Michael Woods, Ciear and Gresham Jr., Schemelia Lowe, Rorecause and Miracle Lowe, Kevion Bell and Ten grandkids: David Frankco Jr., Miyonna Bailey and Yadajah Imoni Jones. And a host of other very special nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives that she adored dearly. Her family she loved and supported.
