Sister Barbara Ann Tell was born on July 19, 1960 in Meriwether County to the late Vera Favors and Joseph Boddie. On August 29, 2019 Barbara was called home to rest.
Barbara was educated in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School. She was united in marriage to the late Charlie Tell. She had a loving and giving heart and helped anyone she could. Her family was everything to her. She had a sweet spirit that could be contagious.
Barbara joined the New Hope Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her health failed. She was employed with Meriwether County Board of Education for eighteen years as a Bus Driver until she started having some health complications. She recently began working as custodian at New Hope Baptist Church and started helping serve in the kitchen. She was always trying to assist in ways to make sure Hilltop Apartments grounds were kept clean and free of debris.
She is preceded in death by her son Tramaine Brown, siblings: Shelia, Anglea, and James Favors. One grandson: Tramaine Brown Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memories a niece whom she raised as her own: Italia Jibril Owens (Corey) Favors of Manchester, GA.; two nephews whom she adored: Jayden and Javeon Favors both of Manchester, GA.; Grandkids: Dequarius Walker, Shantanea Walker, Shacorie Nelson of Columbus, GA.; Charlie Copeland of Manchester, GA.; A loving daughter in-law: Denise Walker of Columbus, GA.; Two uncles: Larry Brown of Atlanta, GA.; and James ( Clara) Brown of LaGrange, GA.; Barbara Boddie of Atlanta, GA.; Bernice Ellison of Manchester, GA.; Lois (Kirk) Copeland of LaGrange, GA.; and Deborah Ransom of Manchester, GA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved with all her heart.
