Betty Faye Hodo Chrisolm

July 3, 1949 — February 4, 2016

On July 3,1949 God blessed John and Daisy Hodo with a beautiful baby girl, Bettye Faye Hodo.

Bettye was introduced to and accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She became a member of New Friendship Baptist Church in Greenville, GA and later a disciple at Valley Grove Baptist Church.

Bettye was preceded in death by her parents, sister Eva Jane Mitchell and brother John (Bill) Hodo Jr.

She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Bobby Chisolm. Life took Bettye to Florida, where she gained love from a new family and new friends. After many years in Florida, Bettye would return to home life in Manchester, GA.

For 66 years, Bettye brought joy and love to those that she met. Whether on the job at Angiodynamics, looking around in stores, or just enjoying friends. But what she enjoyed most of all was being with her family, cooking for her family, attending family events and being surrounded by family members. This would always put a smile on her face.

On Thursday, Feb.4, God chose to stop by the Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.; and bring peace and comfort to Bettye. However, he left her love ones to cherish her memories, Husband: Bobby Chisolm, daughter: Tongi (Dexter) Copeland, son: Stondus (Cassandra) Hodo. Stepdaughters: Regina (Daron) McCall; Arlene (Josiah) Moore. Sisters: Carrie Mitchell, Mary Smith, Karyn (Harrison) Thomas. Brother: Larry Hodo. 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The visitation will be Friday, February 12,2016 at Anderson & Marshall Funeral Home, Inc. from 4:00pm until 7:00pm.
