Brother Bobby Holmes was born in Talbot County, GA on June 4, 1954 to the late Deacon Golden and Sister Mary Analiza Holmes. Bobby departed this life Friday, July 30, 2021.
Brother Bobby confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church. He graduated from Central High School in 1972. He worked with Milliken for 15 years, Mead for 18 years and retired from Wal-Mart Distribution Center after 17 years of service.
In addition to his father and mother, he is preceded in death by ten siblings, Eddie Lee Holmes, Golden Holmes, Jr., Willie B. Holmes, Richard Holmes, Mattie Holmes, Daisy Horton, Dorothy Walker, Marvin Holmes, Lovie Lee Hixson and Mary Parks.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Sandra Holmes; three children: Courtney Holmes, Kenvarus Holmes (Special Friend, Tamera Carreker); Denetrius (Travis) Stanley; six grandchildren, Kingston Holmes, Kalani Holmes, London Carreker, Jaleel McMillan, Janiya Stanley, and Jade Stanley; special mother-in-law: Florence “Ma” White; two brothers: John Lewis Holmes (Willie Mae) and Wilbert Holmes; four sisters: Mandy Holmes, Louise Trice (Grady), Earlene Neal (Larry) and Rubye Holmes. Brother-in-law: John W. White (Special Friend, Wanda Denard); sisters-in-law: Josephine White (David), Vivian White (Special Friend, Curtis Barber), Margaret Revels (Robert), Theaster Copeland (Tommy), and Linda White Giles (Willie); and an abundance of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who love and will miss him dearly.
