Carol Elizabeth Hollis was born on April 13,1945 to the union of David and Mary Ellison. Carol departed this life on Sunday, May 22,2016 at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Georgia.

Carol accepted Christ at an early age while attending Bridge Street Church of God in Christ. She served faithfully as an usher and trustee under the Pastoral leadership of Elder H.G. Ellison and in her latter years as Deaconess under the leadership of Pastor Frederick D. Jenkins.

She was employed with Playtex for more than 15years. After the plant closed in 1985, Carol attended Upson County Vocational Technical School. She graduated with a 3.6 grade point average. Shortly after, she became employed with the Department of Family and Children's Services as a case manager. She retired after 16 years of service. She enjoyed baking and cooking. Her caramel and red velvet cakes and her homemade biscuits will be missed. She cherished her close relationships with family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents David and Mary Ellison and her brother, Jessie Carter (Betty).

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Hollis; four children, Cheryl Reeves, Tracie Grant (Steven), Norman Reeves (Dimiterious) and Shaundra McCloud- Stephens (Richard), two sisters, Sandra Harris (Reggie) and Sally Brown (Eugene deceased) and one brother, Joe Howe (Rachel); former spouse, Elijah Reeves, one step-daughter Angela Ransom; seven grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, three great grandchildren, sister-in-laws; Virginia Collins, Mary Hunt, Rubye James, Lousie Thomason, Juanita Clarke (Tonya); brother-in-laws; John Reeves, Johnny Hollis, Robert Hollis, Billy Harris (Jeanette), god-daughter: Destanie Copeland, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
