Carrie Lee Holt

Mother Carrie "Blount" Holt the daughter of the late Martha and Ed Blount was born on January 15, 1912 in Talbot County, Georgia.

Carrie was an active member of Concord Baptist Church and was a faithful Usher until her health failed her.

Carrie married her husband, John Holt, Sr. and nine children were born unto this union. Two children preceded her in death John Holt, Jr. and Dolphis Holt; along with six brothers: Cleveland, Rudolph, Freeman, George, Jerry, and Leonard Blount; and two sisters: Florence Hinson and Lola Holt.

She leave to cherish her memory six daughters, Marie Bedell Woodland, Georgia; Louise (Winslow) Sanders, Decatur, Georgia; Carrie King, Decatur, Georgia; Ann (Willie Joe) Weaver, Atlanta, Georgia; Florence (Gary) Atwater, Decatur, Georgia; Lizzie Pearl Harris, Stockbridge, Georgia; raised as a daughter, Rose (Russel) Patrick, Stockbridge, Georgia; stepdaughter, Thelma Adam, Talbot, Georgia; sister-in-law, Ann Blount; one son, Eddie Lee (Terri) Holt, Decatur, Georgia; one brother, Bob Blount, Tampa, Florida; forty-nine grandchildren; one hundred four great grandchildren; sixty one great-great grandchildren one great-great-great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
