Corey Fernandez Parks

Corey (CP) Fernandez Parks ascended peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2017. He was born on March 27, 1987 in Muscogee County, Georgia. He was the fourth child of John and Virginia Parks and raised in Manchester and Waverly Hall, Georgia.

He joined Bluff Springs Christian Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age. Corey received his education from Harris County High School and attended Albany State University, majoring in Marketing. He was a member of the NAACP Juvenile Justice Committee and volunteered at the local Albany Youth Detention Center. Throughout the matriculation of his years, he excelled in baseball, basketball and football.
He loved to travel. He took spontaneous trips and became a truck driver. Although, it kept him busy, it gave time to bond with the ones he loved. His kind, patient, and loving essence was imprinted on anyone he encountered; everyone was special to him.

Corey leaves to cherish his memories his parents; John Parks and Virginia Parks; a daughter, London Kennedy Parks; his sisters, Valarie Haynes and Denitria Marshall; his brothers, John (Tiffany) Parks, Larry Rush, Deronte' Ward, Nerikas Horton and Demarcris Wilson; nieces and nephews, Mia Haynes, Matthew Marshall, Alexis Haynes, Mikayla Marshall, and John Parks. He also leaves to cherish special friends Princess Walton, YaSmeen Cochran, Wendy Golden and countless loving cousins and friends.
