My Love, My Husband, Father, brother, uncle and Friends was born July 2, 1948 in Talbot County to the late Welce and Earnell Copeland McDowell.
He joined St. Paul C.M.E. Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. J.A. Avery. He talked to God daily until God called him home. He attended public school in Talbot County, where he graduated from Ruth Carter High in 1967.
On December 5, 1970 Earnest married Brenda Holt McDowell to this union they was blessed with two children. Later in Earnest life he was married to Denise McKinnie. She preceded him in death.
He worked for CSX Railroad for forty years until his health failed. He then was reunited with the love of his life Brenda H. McDowell. She was his care taken until his passing.
Earnest was a true farmer a tiller of the ground that was his passion. He was well known for his great harvest. He wore many hats butcher, carpenter, cook, canning and more. He would always grill meats when they had family functions. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.
On August 24, 2020 he was called by God. He answered that call at his home in peace.

Sister-in-Laws: Irma (William) Davis of Decatur, GA.; Barbara Tucker, Janice Holt (Atlanta, GA.; Marvene Flaggs and Annette Person of Warm Springs, GA.; Margie Coleman of College Park, GA.; A dear friend and cousin: Sammy Ellison. A special coworker and friend: Barbara Terry. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
