Eddie Brady McGill was born August 21,1942 in Manchester, Georgia to the late Brady and Lucille McGill. He was preceded in death by four of his sisters Mae Lizzie Odom, Betty Morris, Mary McGill, Martha Green, and a brother Bobby McGill. He departed this life on Monday, May 11,2015 at his home in Manchester, Georgia.
Eddie B. joined New Hope Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Manchester County Training School in 1960 and enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Alaska during the Viet Nam war. He received an Honorable Discharge on November 11,1970. He worked at Georgia Pacific for over 20 years but, Eddie B. was a farmer at heart and loved raising cows and growing tomatoes.
In addition to his wife Mary, Eddie B. is also survived by a sister Luella McGill of Mattipan, MA, his daughter, Lazenza McGill, Columbus, GA; step-sons Michael (Marie) Parsons, James ( Sharonda) Gardner, and Alvin Gardner. Grand-children Jordan D. Hughes, Shamara M. Parsons, Kameron Gardner, Khyler Gardner, Alvin Gardner III, Adaysha Gardner, and Zaria Gardner; one great- grandchild Jimari D. Williams. A special caring uncle Adam Steed; a brother-in law, Jimmy Morris and a sister-in law Rosa McGill. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
