Edward (Ed) Watson was born July 5,1939 in Columbus GA to the late Tom Watson Sr. and Bessie Owens Watson. He transitioned into eternal life on June 22,2015.
"Ed" was a hard working man. After several years of dedicated work, he retired from Milliken and Tribb Publications.
Ed was united in marriage to Mary Lee Ellison on January 29,1964. God blessed this union with five daughters. One preceded in death Alesia Ann Watson.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom Watson Jr., and George Watson.
Ed leaves to cherish his memories: a wife: Mary L. Watson; four beautiful daughters, Melinda (Jesse) Prather of Manchester, GA.; Phyllis (Derrick) Reeves of Woodland, GA.; Cynthia Jones of Manchester, GA.; and Tonia Watson of Newnan, GA; Six grandchildren, Brandon Prather, QuaShunda Johnson (Okeefius), Diamond Carter, Autumn Carter, Caleb Carter, Kelvin Jones, Jr., one great-grand Breslen Prather; two sisters, Bessie (Jesse) Steverson, Willie Watson; one brother, Eugene (Jennie) Watson, In-laws: Willie James (Willie ) Ellison, Jennie Mitchell, Rev. Johnny (Doretha) Ellison, Gerry (Dewey) Brandford, Carlton Ellison, and Betty Ferguson. He leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral Service will be held on Satursday, June 27,2015 @1:00pm at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Talbotton,GA. The Burial will be at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
