Sis. Elizabeth Turner was born on October 2,1928 in Talbot County, to the late Willie B. and Georgia GambleTurner. Sis. Elizabeth departed this life on Sunday, June 28,2015 at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia.
She attended school in Meriwether County.
She was employed over 50 years with Guys Cleaners, where she retired. Sis. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking, sewing, traveling always had a smile. She loved the Lord and her church were she served faithfully until her life ended.
She served in many capacities, which included St. Paul Choir #1, TNT Choir Union. Sis. Elizabeth is the last member of St. Paul Choir #1 and TNT Choir Union.
Sis. Elizabeth saw the church grow from the Little Wooden Church to the present facility. She has seen many pastors' come and go. She enjoyed spending time with her family & her church family.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories one daughter Sherrie T. White of Manchester, Georgia. Three grandsons: Torre Turner of Columbus, GA.; Randall Turner of Manchester, GA.; and Arthur Ricks of Italy. Two sisters: Annie Lois and Willene Turner of Manchester, GA.; Two sisters in laws: Christine Turner of Chicago, IL., and Alberta Turner of Manchester, GA.; Because her love was spread so wide she had an abundant nieces and nephews. She also had several special friends: Eunice, Elizabeth, Geneva, Margaret, and many more friends and other relatives that will miss her dearly.
The Funeral Services for Elizabeth Turner will be held on Friday July 3rd,2015 @11:00am at St. Paul C.M.E. Church in Manchester, GA. The burial will be held at St. Paul C.M.E. Church Cemetery. The viewing will be Thursday July 2,2015 from 1:00pm until 8:00pm at Anderson & Marshall Funeral Home, Inc.
