Emmett Jackson

Bro. Emmett Jackson, was born in Manchester, Georgia o July 24, 1943 to the late Lewis Jackson and the late Lucile Hall Jackson.
Preceding him in death, were his two brothers, Robert Lewis Jackson and James Henry "Shook" Jackson and his sister, Mary Ann Jackson. He was the sixth child of nine children.
He enlisted in he Army and joined 101st Airborne Division - the "Screaming Eagles" - a United States Army Modular Light Infantry Division that trained for air assault operations. After serving his country he was employed by the Atlanta Central Postal Service (now known as the Martin Luther King, Jr. Federal Building) for 15 years while attending Georgia State University.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Baptist Church. He showed his love for Christ through helping others. Although his passing was sudden, he waited patiently on the Lord and went about his Father's business.
He leaves to celebrate his life, two brothers, Rufus Jackson (Warner Robins, GA; and Leroy (Janice) Jackson, Manchester, GA; three sisters, Ruby Jackson, Manchester, GA; Florence (George) Jackson, Atlanta, GA; and Josephine (Anderson) Clark, Atlanta, GA; one aunt, Mattie Fisher, Buffalo, NY; also surviving and celebrating him are a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
