Mr. Eugene Carter was born on March 11, 1939 to the late Edith Giddens and the late Mahone Carter. He departed his earthly life on April 27, 2021 at Upson Regional Hospital in Thomaston, Georgia.
During his life journey he would love to cook and make sure his family everything they needed, and he love to spend time with his children and grandchildren. Gene was a Barber for over 40 years. Everyone Gene met he would talk their heads off and keep everyone smiling.
He is now resting with his beloved wife Emma Carter, 2 brothers: Lonnie Carter and Scottie Giddens, Sister-in-law: Sherry Williams, one brother-in-law: Dwight Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Three children: Frank (Irma) Hardnett, Colen Mitchell, both of Woodland, GA.; and Keith Mitchell of LaGrange, Six grandchildren: Conesha Mitchell, Natasha Chaney, Karyaa Howard, Octavius Hardnett, Sandrell Mitchell and Taborous Mitchell. Two special great-grandchildren: Tahlia Sheffield and Josia Brooks of Woodland, GA.; Two brothers: John Henry of Los Angeles, CA.; and Wardell Giddens of Woodland, GA.; Two sisters: Martha Ellison and Dorothy Burgess of Cleveland Ohio. Two Sister-in-laws: Warkenia Epps of Atlanta, GA.; Jackie Dewberry of Woodland, GA.; Two brother-in-law’s: Kenny and John Lee (Blondine)Williams of Woodland, GA.;
