George Edward Johnson

was the fifth born of eight children, to the union of the late George (Bob) Johnson and Evelyn Denson Johnson.

George Edward attended Meriwether County Schools and continued to the workforce at the Magic City Minit Market.

George Edward joined the church at early age and attended Valley Grove Baptist Church.

George Edward enjoyed coming to Manchester sitting on the bench and people watching. He enjoyed basketball, football, and baseball. He spent many evenings watching the game shows Jeopardy and Family Feud, without disturbance.

George Edward assed peacefully on May 6 ^th 2018.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Irvin Wendell Johnson.

George Edward leaves to cherish his memory, six siblings:  Betty Faye Johnson, Dianne J. Webb, Alvin (Judy), Sylvester (Anne), Gregory (Soyreita) and Audra LaShay (Charles) Jones; eight nieces and nephews: Yvette (Anthony) Lindo, Camucula Johnson, Destanie (Michael) Copeland, Charity Walker, Sylvester Jr. (Jessica), April Rucker, Billy Jones and Audris Jones; and 13 great nieces and nephews: Evasius Dewberry; Mikel, Heaven, Magic, and Majestic Copeland; Lonnie Parker; Khalil Lindo; Caleb, Judah, and Asher Johnson; Jahnile Hill; and Floyd and Madisyn Luke. Two uncles and three aunts: Sara Denson-Williams, Carl (Sandy) Denson, Julia McGhee, and Edgar “Pee Wee” Denson; and Bessie Lee Johnson.  He also leaves a host of cousins, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
