This is my Story – 1946 – 2021
George Gamble was born on November 10, 1946 in Warm Springs, Ga. to the late Phillip Gamble and Bessie Carter Gamble Huel.
George confessed Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Baptist Church, where he was an usher and sometimes in the choir.
George graduated from Meriwether County Training School ( M.C.T) in 1965.
After graduating from school George enlisted in the United States Air Force and served four years. During his four years of service which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. When George left for the military he told his sister Josephine to please pray that he would return home. After completion of service to his country, he moved to Atlanta became employed with Sanderson Industrial. He later relocated to the City of Roswell, Georgia and became employed as a Recycling Supervisor.
George was a lot of fun and he loved his family especially his sisters Josephine and Sarah and Hazel.
George is preceded in death by his brother Willie (Peanut), sister Hazel and a stepfather Alle Huel.
Those left to cherish his memories : Two dedicated and caring sisters: Josephine Wilson and Sarah Gamble both of Manchester, GA.; One brother: Carter Gamble who called daily to check on George and his sisters.
Sister-in-laws: Lizzie Gamble of Manchester, GA.; Four nephews: Lank, James, Mario and Jamaal Gamble. Four nieces: Brenda, Tabitha, Tarsha, Shay. Willie Russell of Atlanta, GA., who was like a brother. He also leaves a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and close family and friends.
George will be missed for his humor.
