James Finley Rolax was born on June 15, 1948, to late Doris and Charlie Rolax in Woodland, GA.
He accepted Christ at an early age.
James attended Ruth Carter School and graduated with the Class of 1966.
After completing high school, he became employed with Goody Products. Then he went to work with Warm Springs Institute. Then he became employed with CSX Railroad as a machinist until he retired.
James departed this life on December 23, 2023.
He is preceded in death by his children Lamont, Stephanie Rolax, and Brian Rolax.
James leaves to cherish his memories a loving son: Tony Lovette of Newnan, GA.; Eric Shaun Marshall of Woodland, GA, grandchildren: Dalton Lovette, Lazerick Lovette, Marquazious Lovette, Jamarcis Xavier Rolax all of Manchester, GA; Two sisters: Doris Juanita Rose of Talbotton, GA, Connie (Roland) Pope of Atlanta, GA.; one Uncle John Rolax. Four sisters-in-law’s: Rose Marshall, Daisy Harris of Senoia, GA.; Helen Harris of Woodbury, GA.; and Dorothy Harris of Manchester, GA.; Two nephews: Lavere Rose of Kinglands, GA.; and Genovious Pope of Atlanta, GA.; He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
