Jeffery Davis Russell was an amazing man. A true God-fearing man. One of a kind. The type of man who could never meet a stranger. Everyone he met; he found a connection with. He was a son, a husband, a father to all his children, and a true friend to anyone who needed one.
Born on October 4, 1955. In the town of Shiloh, Georgia. The son of Mrs. Willene Russell and Mr. Willie Russell. He is survived by his wife, Mildred, and his four children, Sonny, Mary, Je’Vanno, and Maria’Nilla. He was a wonderful Grandfather to eight grandchildren: Ronda, Spud, May-May, Devin, Donavin, Davien, Nathan, and Milan. He had one great granddaughter, Dahleni. Jeffery was the youngest of six children, Arthur, Anne, Willie Jr., Shirley, and Sandra (Louise). Jeffery had many nieces and nephews and appreciated every moment he got to spend with them all. Jeffery Russell was a Christian man. A father, that only wanted the best for his children. The love and care he expressed will go unmatched forever. He was kind and gentle, however at same time tough. His voice was strong but the words behind them were even stronger. There was always power in every conversation, a lesson behind every thought he shared. He loved his family with his entire soul, and he didn’t even have to say it every day. It was felt because he made us feel it.
Jeffery D. Russell proudly served in the United States Air Force a little over 9 years. He left home at 17 and went straight into the military. He traveled to many places and found beauty in them. He enjoyed taking pictures, one of the best men to place behind the camera. He knew how to capture the moment. An excellent photographer.
Jeffery D. Russell was truly the “Jack of all Trades”. Professionally, he was a Tax Accountant/Preparer. He enjoyed working with numbers. Numbers made sense to him. They came natural to him.
Mr. Russell spent several years selling insurance. That’s where he began his networking. He remained in close contact with several of his clients. Many of them became good friends. A few became family. That’s the thing about Jeffery, David as many others may know him as…. He never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him loved him. Jeffery was a true entertainer. He enjoyed hosting parties and family barbeques. He enjoyed many genres of music. Watching him sing and converse with friends and loved ones are memories we always enjoy sharing. We will miss him greatly, and his endless effort of trying to make us understand that he wants the best for us. We only hope that we could live up to all his hard work and make him proud.
Thank you for guiding us, and we know that you are up there looking over us.
We love you, Holla
