Leon 'Cricket' Bunkley Jr.

September 9, 1953 — September 30, 2014

Leon "Cricket" Bunkley Jr. was born October 9, 1953 in Macon, Georgia to the late Leon Bunkley, Sr. and the late Edith Hardnett Bunkley.
Cricket was employed at L.P. Gas Company in the early 80's. He later became employed at Georgia Pacific for over 20 years. He then finished out his working years at Columbus Water Works.

Cricket enjoyed coaching football which he did for years at the Manchester Recreation Center. He also loved fishing, working on his truck, spending time with family and friends.

Cricket was also preceded in death by three brothers: Walter Bunkley, Leslie Rolling and Grady Bray, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife: Deborah Bunkley of Columbus, GA.; three daughters: LaWanda Bunkley, Desiree Glencamp and Takeira Adams. One- step son: Stevie Weaver. Two sisters: Isabel Bunkley, and Mary Frances Salter. One brother: Michael Bunkley. One sister-in-law: Beth Bunkley. Two aunts: Otha Lee Hardnett and Willie Woody. Four grandchildren. A special cousin who was like a sister to him Jesse Mae Leonard. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
