Brother Lovett Little, Sr. was born on November 2, 1917 to the lineage of the late Amos Little and Nancy Drain-Little. On December 21, 2016 our Heavenly Father called Lovett home to rest and be with the love of his life, Thelma.
Lovett attended school in Meriwether County before joining the United States Army to fight in the World War II in August 1940. After servicing his country, Lovett returned to marry his long time love, Thelma Hardnett. God blessed this union with three wonderful children: Calvin, Minnie and Lovett Jr.
Lovett started working at Georgia, Warm Spring Foundation in June, 195. He left there in 1959 and was unemployed by Playtex, Inc. until he retired.
Lovett was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church until his health failed. He served as Sunday School Superintendent, an usher and member of the Usher's Executive Board for the New Hope Usher's Association.
Lovett was preceded in death by eleven of his siblings. He was the last one left to carry on the Little's name. Preceding him
was brothers: John, Dozier, John, Frank, Grady, Charlie and Crawford. Sisters: Mary, Sylvia, Nunnie and Elvira. Son-in-law: Raymond Johnson, Sr. and grandson: Raymond Johnson, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories three children: Dea. Calvin (Pastor Mary) Little of Warm Springs, Ga.; Minnie Little- Johnson of Decatur, GA.; and Dea. Lovett (Melissa) Little, Jr. of Manchester, GA.; Grandchildren: Tawhana Johnson and Tenisha Little; Greatgrandchildren: Miya Johnson and Jaylen Nipper. Brother-in-law: Jerry Hardnett of Manchester, GA.; Sister-in-laws: Lizzie Miller of Woodland, GA.; Odessa Hardnett of Woodland, GA.; and Georgia Hardnett of Atlanta, GA.; A host of nieces, nephews and dear friends who will miss him dearly .
