Marshall Pollard, was born to the late Mozell Washington on May 29, 1952, in Columbus, Georgia, he grew up surrounded with friends and family. He graduated in 1970 from Carver High School where he played football. He received an athletic scholarship to attend Savannah State University and he graduated in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
In Savannah, Marshall met and married Helen Anderson, and this union brought two children; Trieben (Brooklyn, NY) and Anthony (Norfork, VA).
Marshall enlisted in The United States of America Department of the Navy June 2, 1974 and retired as Navy Commander August 31, 1995. He enjoyed traveling around Egypt and playing golf.
Our dad has always been a supportive role model in our lives and he was our personal hero. His mission in life was to love, provide and protect his family. We will always carry his strength, wisdom, love and compassion with us for the rest of our lives.
Marshall was a beloved son, brother, devoted husband, father, uncle, friend and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Helen (Jacksonville, FL), sons Trebien (Brooklyn, NY), Anthony (Chesapeake, VA),One grandchild: Triniti (Chesapeake, VA), One brother Leroy Washington(Columbus, GA), sisters Jennie Pullings (Hinesville, GA), Vernell Daniel Stevenson (Seaside, CA), Sarah Washington, (Columbus, GA), Sisters in Laws Alice Jones (Peachtree City, GA), Maxine Trice (Joe) Brooklyn, NY, Julia Bedell (Manchester, GA), Brother in law Jonah Anderson (Annie Jean) Manchester, GA, as well as a host of loving relatives.
