Mary Brooks Terry, the daughter of the late Edgar (Pap) and Clara Ray Brooks was born May 1, 1927 in Raleigh, GA.
Mary was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Manchester, GA and served as an Usher for several years.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Emmitt (Embo) Terry, to this union was blessed with 10 children. Two children preceded her in death, Burnette Terry and Eddie Terry.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Emmitt M. Terry, Jr. of Riverdale, GA; Mary T. McGill (Eddie), Martha T. Copeland of Manchester, GA; Annette T. Mahone of Woodbury, GA; Evelyn Copeland (Charlie) of Riverdale, GA; Charles Terry of Atlanta, GA; Juanita T. Carter (Roger) of Fayetteville, GA; and Beverly D. Terry of Manchester, GA.; thirty-one grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; three special nieces; Ozella Weaver of Albany, GA, Glynnis Brooks Crommes of Las Vegas, NV, and Johnny E. Jones of Atlanta, GA.; god-daughter Precious M. Williams and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
