Maury Marquis Williams

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

God granted a precious gift, a loving baby boy to Valeria Felicia Wiliams and Michael (Moon) Copeland in Columbus, Ga.; March 8, 1991.

Maury Marquise (Quise) accepted Christ at New Hope Baptist Church, Manchester, Georgia. He was educated in the Manchester School System.

On Monday, December 4, 2023, he transitioned to eternal rest at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He will be truly missed.

Quise was preceded in death by his loving mother, Valeria (Paula Girl) Williams; great grandmother, Leandy Prather; grandmother, Otha L Hardnett; uncle, Henry Jones and aunt, Shirley Ann King.

Memories of Quise will be cherished by his three children he loved from the bottom of his heart; Kamiya, Moni and KaNyla Williams. A sister, Kedra Banning; brother, Jamarius Copeland.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted love for his grandmother, Geraldine Williams; eight uncles and four aunts: Paul (Sabrina) Williams, Hakeem (Jawahir) Mohamed, Trent (Linda) Williams, James (Linda) McKinney, Earvin King, Leonard Green, Robert Green and Kirk (Lois) Copeland.

Michelle (Gerry) Marshall, a motherly aunt, Emma (Fred) Weston, Helen (Granville) Grier and Brenda Harper. A close and devoted friend, Shantavius Newsome.

A host of “special cousins” and close connected beloved family members, nephews, nieces, neighbors and friends.
