Ruby Kate Ballard

An angel of silence came and carried the soul of Mother Ruby K. Ballard on a flight to eternal rest from the Pruitt Nursing Home, Greenville, Ga.

God blessed the late Mr. George and Mrs. Clotee (Jones) Buchanan on February 27, 1929 with a daughter Mother Ruby Buchanan Ballard. To this union 13 children were born. She was the 13 ^th child, all other siblings seceded her in death.

She joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she served faithfully until her health failed.  Usher Board #1 (Secretary), Mother Board, Mission, and Sunday school teacher.  She served in Shiloh Missionary Baptist Association Convention as a delegate and Sunday School Teacher where her students love her dearly and they were spiritual read by her teaching.

She was united to the late Willie J. Ballard to this union 3 three children were born.  The late Willie Hubert Ballard, Bobbie Ballard (Julia), Dianne (Johnny) Blue.  One Goddaughter: Peggy Allen.  She also leaves in loving memories 8 grandchildren, Benett, Marnitta, Sanchez, Tammie, Jacqlyn, Aundrae, Lynn and Willie; and 10 great grand’s and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
