Sis. Linda Buchanan was born April 3, 1953 to the late Ms. Gussie and Mr. Eddie B. McHolmes, in Meriwether County. She joined the New Hope Baptist Church.

She worked for Goody Products until her health failed.
She departed her life at St. Joseph Emory Hospital in Atlanta, GA, April 25, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James (Nig) Buchanan. She leaves to cherish her memory: a loving son, Marcus (Bernice) Prather of Shiloh, GA, a sister, Sally (Arthur) Henry of Manchester, GA, a brother, Sylvester (Barbara) McHolmes of Woodbury, GA, a stepdaughter, Anita Buchanan (Roderick) Hodo, a stepson, Theron Buchanan of Fayetteville, GA, sister-in-laws, Alma Buchanan, Ruby Febry, Betty Buchanan, Shellie A. Buchanan all of Manchester, GA, brother-in-laws, Flea Buchanan, Freddie Buchanan both of Manchester, GA; Eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
