Victor James Hill

Victor James Hill was born on February 24th, 1960, to the late Willie James Copeland and the late Lizzie H. And Homer Williams. 

Victor J. Hill graduated from Manchester High School in 1978. He went on to enlist in the U.S. Navy in July of 1978. He proudly served this country as a Chief Petty Officer First Class until his retirement in July of 1998. He then, went on to join Meriwether County Sheriff Department. He also joined Greenville Police Department in January of 1990 and retired as Captain on November 30, 2008. 

After both retirements, Victor continued to serve his community by working part time at local nursing homes and at Pathways Detox Clinic in LaGrange, Ga. 

Victor J. Hill was called Home on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at his home in Hogansville, Ga. 

He leaves to cherish his memory; one daughter: Victoria Hill Perry (Ramon) of Statesboro, Ga., four grandchildren: Shaunessy of Douglasville, Ga, Jameson, Zelma-Elizabeth, and Ramon (RJ) of Statesboro, Ga.; five siblings: Kenneth Williams of Manchester, Ga, Darryl Williams (Erma) of Williamson, Ga, Lakeitha Johnson of Manchester, Ga, Valencia Scott (Styland) of Ellenwood, Ga, Wendy Dixon of Manchester, Ga, and the late Tyrice Holt. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and close friends that will miss him dearly.
